Kris Wallace
Head Trainer/Owner
Kris Wallace grew up in Buffalo, NY. She showed Arabians in hunter jumper and western pleasure for 10 years under the instruction of Marcia Kosin and Becky Bates. She and her purebred Arabian, JH Shetan+/, competed in both the A rated Arabian and Hunter Jumper circuits. While in high school, she worked for Strawberry Banks Arabian Horse Farm learning about the breeding aspect of the industry. In 2001, Kris moved to Missouri to earn a bachelors degree in Equestrian Science at William Woods University. This is where her love for Saddlebreds and Saddleseat riding came to be. She continued her training with the Arabian breed during her summer internships with Vicki Bowman, Vicki Humphrey, and Wendy & Gordon Potts. She has also worked for local Saddlebred trainer, Jimmy Simmons. In 2005, Kris moved to Springfield, Missouri to be Shan Wilson's assistant trainer at Chrishan Park. A year later Kris decided to open her own facility. She relocated to Columbia Missouri and Columbia Equestrian Center was born.
